“Surrender to what is. Let go of what was. Have faith in what will be.”

Four Ways to Integrate Mindfulness into Your Morning Routine
1. Be Mindful in the shower of: the water temperature, how the water feels on your skin, the noise of the water, and the smells of your products.
2. Be Mindful as you are brushing your teeth of: the taste and texture of the toothpaste, the sensation of your feet on the bathroom floor, the way your arm is moving, and which tooth you are cleaning.
3. Be Mindful as you are washing out your coffee cup of: how the water and soap feels on your skin, how much time you are taking to cleanse the cup, and the satisfaction of a job well done.
4. Be Mindful during your morning commute of: your discomfort, the people in cars around you, the feeling of willing things to move faster, and the resistance to your current environment.
Once you have mastered these, challenge yourself to be mindful of the other components of your morning routine!
